Important Tenant Notification - Correction following communication error

Please be advised that our recent communication advising of legislation changes contained incorrect wording. We would like to clarify that the email issued to all tenants, under the section regarding pets, stated that as of 1 August 2026 every secure tenant will have the right to request to keep a pet or pets.

This date is incorrect. Whilst this is a right that will come into force, it will not come into force on 1 August 2026. It is anticipated that further regulations will be produced by the Scottish Government in advance of the pet provisions coming into force.

These provisions will therefore come into force at a later date which is yet to be confirmed, and we will notify you in due course of any changes.
