Garden In Bloom 2018

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has now launched this year’s ‘Garden In Bloom’ competition.

The competition began in 2010 and has always proved successful with entries received throughout the Mid Argyll & Kintyre area. As an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment from tenants in maintaining their garden, tenants and neighbours are able to nominate ACHA gardens from April until July 2018.

Members from the Mid Argyll & Kintyre area will judge nominated gardens at their Annual General Meeting scheduled for 1st August for the best garden and best container. Winners will receive a trophy and vouchers from a garden centre of their choice.

Sandra MacKenzie, Vice Chairperson of the Mid Argyll & Kintyre Area Committee commented, “Happy gardening after the wild winter in hope of a good summer ahead.”

In addition, ACHA will also be welcoming entries for the largest sunflower from all pre-5 nurseries throughout the area.

If you would like further information or an application form, please contact your local office on 01546 605800 (Lochgilphead) or 01546 605880 (Campbeltown).

Last year's winner, Cailean MacDonald from Badden Farm Nursery.
