ACHA Modern Apprentice Gains Housing Qualification

Rachael MacIndeor, employed as a Modern Apprentice with Argyll Community

Housing Association, has attained the CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing) Level 3 in Housing Practice. The aim of the qualification is to provide students with a broad knowledge and understanding of key areas in delivering housing services.

Rachael commented, “I have really enjoyed working towards this qualification, especially communicating with a wide range of people via the online forum. I have learnt a lot during my placement and look forward to completing my apprenticeship later this year.”

Since starting with ACHA in October 2016, Rachael has participated in an intensive development programme, undertaking both internal and external training whilst working in both the Mid Argyll & Kintyre offices. Rachael has also participated in a course on routine playground inspections, successfully obtaining a RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) certificate.

Yvonne Angus, ACHA’s Regional Manager said, “We have welcomed the opportunity to give young people the chance to obtain a recognised qualification as well as to provide valuable work experience in preparation of their future careers. Congratulations to Rachael in her achievements so far.”
