Garden in Bloom 2019

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) will be welcoming entries for this year's 'Garden in Bloom' competition from 1st April.

The competition began in 2010 and has always proved successful with entries received throughout the Mid Argyll & Kintyre area. As an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment from tenants in maintaining their garden, tenants and neighbours are able to nominate ACHA gardens from April until July 2019. Categories include, 'best garden'; 'best container' and new for this year is 'best wildlife garden'.

Members of the Mid Argyll & Kintyre area will judge nominated gardens at their Annual General Meeting scheduled for 14th August. Winners will receive a trophy and vouchers from a garden centre of their choice.

Betty Rhodick, Chairperson of the Mid Argyll & Kintyre Area Committee commented, "Please take part in the 'Garden in Bloom' competition. It will brighten your garden and your neighbourhood. Give it a try, you never know what you can achieve!"

In addition, ACHA will also be encouraging entries for the largest sunflower from all pre-5 nurseries throughout the area.

If you would like further information or an application form, please contact your local office on 01546 605800 (Lochgilphead) or 01546 605880 (Campbeltown).

Last year's winner, Rosie Hill, Campbeltown Nursery Centre.
