ACHA Wants Tenant Input
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) is pleased to report that a short tenant satisfaction survey will be carried out during November.
A sample of ACHA tenants from across Argyll and Bute will be telephoned by staff and asked to contribute to the satisfaction survey. The questions will be focussed around key services and the results will be reported to tenants and also to the Scottish Housing Regulator.

ACHA to Build 8 New Family Homes in Glenshellach, Oban
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has just confirmed it will be going on site next month to build 8 new family homes in Glenshellach.
The contract worth £1,092,400 has been awarded to MacLeod Construction Ltd of Lochgilphead who are currently working for the Association on new build developments in the Oban and Lorn area.
Upgrade Work Planned for ACHA Properties on Islay
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has recently awarded a contract to an Argyll-based contractor to carry out roof and roughcast improvements to its properties on Islay, to the value of £1.5million.
Stewart & Shields, who are based in Helensburgh, successfully tendered for the contract to upgrade 53 ACHA properties mainly with external wall insulation, although some will receive an upgraded roof as well.
New Offices in Rothesay Officially Opened
Councillor Isobel Strong from Argyll and Bute Council and former ACHA Board member, officially opened ACHA's new Longhill Crescent offices.
At a ceremony attended by Argyll and Bute's Member of Parliament, Brendan O'Hara, the Chair of ACHA James Milne MBE and ACHA Chief Executive Alastair MacGregor, Councillor Strong cut the ribbon to the new offices that were converted from an unused block of four flats that were in need of major renovation. The offices are used by both ACHA and AHFA staff and the conversion was carried out by local company George Hanson Ltd.
