ACHA Completes New Build Housing in the Village of Connel with Music and Celebration

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has just completed the final phase in a 32 unit build in the village of Connel, north of Oban.The completed development was officially opened by John Finnie MSP for the Highlands and Islands. Prior to John officially cutting the ribbon to open the new homes Pipe Major Angus MacColl played an Argyll tune on the pipes, the 2/4 March "Donald MacLean's Farewell to Oban" to rapturous applause.

ACHA Starts Major Painting Project in the Soroba Housing Estate in Oban

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has gone on site with a major external painting project in the Soroba housing estate in Oban. The works which will run over the period from now until March 2020 involves roughcast, windows, facias, soffits, fences and downpipe refurbishment through new painterwork. The contract is to the value of £150,000 and will cover 4 blocks which are 2 Colonsay Terrace, 9 Colonsay Terrace, 8 Scalpay Terrace and 19 Shuna Terrace. The works are being carried out by Argyll Homes for All, the Association's subsidiary's painting team.
