Changes to the Legislation for Fire and Smoke Alarms in Scotland
Following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower in London, a Ministerial Working Group on building and fire safety was established to review Scotland’s building and fire safety and this resulted in new legislation which will extend the already high standards of protection required for fire and carbon monoxide.

Consultation on Proposed Environmental Improvements to Soroba
ACHA will be holding a Covid safe external consultation event on Tuesday 10th November 2020 between 1.30pm & 5.30pm at Soroba Football Pitch. The consultation is for residents of Soroba to give their ideas and comments on proposed improvements to environment of the area. A letter and leaflet is being issued to all Soroba residents with further information and a comments sheet which can be returned on the day or to the Soroba Store, McCaig Road.
ACHA Puts On Site In Oban £6m Energy Efficiency Project for 633 Homes
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has recently put on site a £6m energy efficiency programme for 633 homes in a funding partnership between the Association, Scottish and Southern Energy, the Scottish Government and Argyll and Bute Council. This mixed tenure initiative will provide improvements to 262 ACHA homes and 371 owners.

ACHA holds its fourteenth AGM
Argyll Community Housing Association, ACHA, held its fourteenth AGM virtually due to the current Covid 19 pandemic. It involved members participating via Skype.
