ACHA Response to Coronavirus Challenge
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has set up a Coronavirus Resilience Group which meets daily to deal with the changing and challenging situation that pandemic has brought. The Association's office network throughout Argyll and Bute closed on Tuesday and the Association's 250 staff are all now home working.

ACHA Opens its First Homes in Kilmartin with Scotland’s Oldest Councillor Donnie MacMillan
Argyll Community Housing Association has just completed its first new build development in the village of Kilmartin, just north of Lochgilphead. The official opening was carried out by Mid Argyll Councillor, Donnie MacMillan BEM who is thought to be Scotland’s oldest serving Councillor at 92.
The Association, prior to building these four homes, only had one property for rent in the village. The development, in terms of design and mix, is semi-detached/terraced and all properties are two bedroom. The total cost of the project was £671,898, including the land acquisition. Funding for the development was a three-way partnership involving the Scottish Government, Argyll and Bute Council and ACHA. The construction period lasted exactly one year and the properties were built by MacLeod Construction of Lochgilphead.
ACHA Completes New Build Housing in the Village of Connel with Music and Celebration
Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has just completed the final phase in a 32 unit build in the village of Connel, north of Oban.The completed development was officially opened by John Finnie MSP for the Highlands and Islands. Prior to John officially cutting the ribbon to open the new homes Pipe Major Angus MacColl played an Argyll tune on the pipes, the 2/4 March "Donald MacLean's Farewell to Oban" to rapturous applause.
