Update on Lochnell Street Incident - Lochgilphead

We are deeply saddened to confirm that a fire on Lochnell Street, Lochgilphead, on Sunday 14 December resulted in the tragic loss of one life. Our heartfelt thoughts and condolences are with the family and loved ones of the individual who passed away.

Eight residents have been temporarily displaced from their homes. We are working closely with local partner agencies to provide support, emergency accommodation, and essential items to those affected.

To ensure safety, Lochnell Street will remain closed until the building and surrounding area have been fully assessed and made secure for residents, the community, and passing traffic. Updates on road closures will be available on the Argyll and Bute Council website.
