The Scottish Social Housing Charter Free Events
On behalf of the Scottish Government, the Tenant Information Service (TIS) and the Tenant Participation Advisory Service (TPAS) are hosting a series of free information events in June on the Scottish Social Housing Charter.
The Scottish Social Housing Charter was introduced in 2012 as part of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010, and sets the standards and outcomes that all social landlords should aim to achieve when performing their housing activities.
The Charter is reviewed by the Scottish Government every 5 years, first in 2017, and in 2021, with the revised Charter published in November 2022.
The events are aimed at tenants and social landlords to highlight good practice in how tenants are working with their landlords and using the Charter to improve services; identify how tenants can get involved in understanding and monitoring landlord performance against the Charter; and explore, post-pandemic, how landlords can meet their legal requirements in relation to tenant participation.
