ACHA Launches Garden in Bloom and Sunflower Competition 2017

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has now launched this year’s ‘Garden In Bloom’ and Sunflower competition.

The competition began in 2010 and has always proved successful with entries received throughout the Mid Argyll & Kintyre area. As an opportunity to recognise the hard work and commitment from tenants in maintaining their garden, tenants and neighbours are able to nominate ACHA gardens from 3rd April until 26th July 2017. Winners will receive a trophy and vouchers from a garden centre of their choice.

In addition, ACHA will also be welcoming entries for the largest grown sunflower from all pre-5 nurseries throughout the area with the chance of winning book vouchers.

Sandra MacKenzie, Vice Chairperson of the Mid Argyll & Kintyre Area Committee commented, “This year, for the first time, the Area Committee invite members of ACHA to join them at their AGM on 2nd August to help them judge the ‘Garden in Bloom’ and Sunflower competitions.
We do this by viewing photographs taken over the summer of the competing gardens and we look forward to members joining us in this pleasurable task.”
