ACHA Christmas tree lights officially launched in Oban

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA’s) Christmas tree has been officially switched on by sheltered housing tenants, Nancy MacDonald and Mairi Archer supported by ACHA’s Chair, Councillor Roddy McCuish and local Area Committee member, Councillor Jim Lynch. For good measure Santa turned up to do the countdown.

The Christmas tree located at Dalrigh Gardens at the entrance to the town has been the venue for launch for the last 15 years. With its bright banner it welcomes locals and visitors to Oban for Christmas. Dalrigh Gardens is a public open space at the entrance to Oban, owned and maintained by ACHA for the use of the people of Oban and its many visitors.

Councillor Roddy McCuish ACHA’s Chair commented

“Dalrigh Gardens is a community asset at the entrance to Oban. The ACHA Christmas tree sends out a message of peace and good will to all at this time.”
