ACHA Publishes Landlord Report for 2015/16

Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) has published its third annual Landlord Report for tenants and service users.

The Landlord Report highlights tenants and other service users’ views on ACHA’s services and how well the organisation delivers against a range of indicators in the Scottish Social Housing Charter.

The main headline figure in the report indicates that 84% of ACHA tenants are satisfied or very satisfied with the overall service provided by the Association, which is a 20% improvement on the previous year.

Particularly strong areas of performance are reflected in the repairs and maintenance service, with a 97.8% satisfaction figure. The report recognises that areas of challenge relate to long term void homes, particularly in Bute and Campbeltown. This has contributed to an average of 84 days to let a home. If you consider solely the not low demand properties the time taken was 21 days. 68 properties that had no demand and were vacant for more than 6 months contributed to the overall void figure.

Commenting on the Landlord Report ACHA’s Chief Executive Alastair MacGregor said
“Our third Landlord Report highlights substantial improvement in relation to tenant satisfaction with our overall service and we appear to be performing strongly in relation to repairs performance and in tenants’ views on value for money with respect to their rent where 91% feel that the rent they pay represents good value.

We are committed to working on areas of improvement and issues around tackling low demand in 100 properties will be a priority for the way forward.”
The full Landlord Report is available on ACHA’s website, www.acha.co.uk. where any comment or suggestion can be made.
