Argyll Community Housing Association (ACHA) is a Registered Social Landlord providing over 5000 affordable homes for rent. We aim to be a modern Landlord of choice in Argyll and Bute by meeting housing need and providing high quality services.
We have houses across 11 islands and in every major settlement in Argyll and Bute. We work in partnership with other organisations including Argyll and Bute Council and other Housing Associations. Together we operate HOME Argyll, a Common Housing Register, which lets applicants fill in only one form to apply for a home from any of the Housing Associations.
ACHA is a community led organisation directed by a voluntary Board of Management supported by Area Committees. We are a not for profit Industrial and Provident Society and everyone with an interest is welcome to become a member. You can find out how on the Get Involved pages.
As well as letting houses ACHA is building new homes, runs a factoring service for former council and ACHA homes, provides housing support to tenants and is involved in many wider role activities to benefit everyone in Argyll and Bute.
On this website you can find help and advice for tenants. You can also find information on applying for a home including where our houses are. Information for private owners of former council or ACHA homes is on our factoring page.
As Scotland’s eighth largest housing association, ACHA houses 17% of the population of Argyll and Bute and employs 185 staff.
